Et la tête, et la tête,And the head, and the head,

Alouette, gentille Alouette,Lark, lovely lark,
Alouette je te plumerai,I'm going to pluck you,

Notes.

Obviously the lyrics are a bit brutal so I dont bother to explain the meaning of the song except for the parts of the body bit, which is what it's all about really isn't it. You sing each verse and add a part for each verse. We all know the format right? So you just need some body parts dont you.
la tête - the head,
le nez - the nose,
le menton - the chin,
les épaules - the shoulders,
les bras - the arms,
les yeux - the eyes,
les oreilles - the ears,
le cou - the neck,
le dos - the back,
les jambes - the legs,
In the song the proper word is les pattes but Jambes is the word for human legs which will be of more use to children learning parts of the body.
Lets face it you cant pluck eyes either can you?
That should be enough to go on with.
Right now, one last thing.
My five year old is always asking for this song. Why?
because I sing a slightly different version. I do the following parts of the body after the proper ones.
Les bozooms - man breasts,
le bellie bouton - belly button,
les noutie beets - the naughty bits, (GUESS!)
Alright; I KNOW this is NOT FRENCH! it's what we call "Franglais".
But it is great fun and we end up in fits of hysterical laughter which can't be a bad thing can it?
